MaMa's Kitchen
About This Spot
Stepping into MaMa’s Kitchen feels like arriving at a cherished family gathering. Nestled quietly on Tremainsville Road, this intimate diner offers a warm embrace in a modest space where the bustle of the outside world fades for a while. The hum of friendly conversations, the clinking of dishes, and the quick rhythm of a busy Sunday morning all blend into an inviting, lived-in atmosphere that is refreshingly unpretentious.
The pace here is determined by the ebb and flow of familiar faces and new visitors alike—those drawn to the comforting draw of a place where the service is as personal as the food. The mood is relaxed yet alive, punctuated by smiles from the staff who seem to remember everyone’s names and preferences, creating a space where neighbors and travelers can feel equally at home.
MaMa’s Kitchen is the kind of spot where breakfast is not just a meal but a ritual. There’s something deeply satisfying in the way plates arrive loaded with generous, thoughtfully prepared food — from oversized omelettes and fluffy pancakes to the unexpectedly delightful side of house-made beans, a small but memorable detail that many find impossible to overlook. Each dish seems to carry a bit of history, offering more than flavor—a tactile reminder of cozy kitchens and shared mornings.
What makes this place stand out isn’t a flashy menu, but the way every item feels like a personal invitation to slow down and savor the moment. It’s easy to imagine families gathered here for important celebrations or friends catching up over hearty portions designed to comfort and fill. Even during the busiest times, there is a quiet kindness in the staff’s attentiveness that subtly shapes the experience.
Eating at MaMa’s is less about rushing through a meal and more about noticing the details—the lightly battered onion rings that are crisp without pretension, the generous hashbrowns piled high, and the softly baked cakes that linger in the memory long after the last bite. It’s these elements, paired with the warmth of the people who bring this place to life, that quietly mark MaMa’s Kitchen as a beloved fixture in the Toledo neighborhood.
In this modest corner diner, the joy of eating and the simple pleasure of being welcomed truly feel intertwined, offering a genuine taste of home away from home.

Had a quick breakfast with an old friend before heading back to Canada. She suggested Mama's kitchen which reminds me of a family run restaurant back home. It's a very tiny spot and clearly very popular because there was a line out the door to be seated. The lineup went quickly though. We went to this place on a Sunday. The service was incredibly incredibly friendly and everyone was super personable. The food portions are more than enough. I ended up taking part of my breakfast across the border to have the very next day. I love their potato hash and next time will get their home fries instead. I got to try a little of both because my friend order the opposite of what I had. Definitely definitely would come back

Mama's Kitchen is a fantastic little eatery with excellent breakfast!! The breakfast burrito is a must, the pancakes ain't slouches either . Highly recommend this breakfast spot to anyone looking to try somewhere new. Our littlest guy had his big 8 breakfast with all his grandparents and everyone there went out of their way to make it a special morning for him. Thanks again to all the staff there for everything they do

Jen took excellent care of us. The food is exceptionally stick to your ribs. 4 Egg omelette, pumpkin pancakes that are as big as your head! Fluffy and tender! Clearly MaMa’s knows how to feed you. Prices are extremely reasonable and when you have to waddle out, you know you’ve had a great experience!

My first time eating hete was today. I had a taste for a good chef salad and they did not disappoint. Once entering the restaurant, I was greeted by this nice lady (I called my order in). The food was ready, she charged my card, asked if I'd ever been there and she told me that I would be back. Lol. The salad was a hearty portion, the atmosphere was great, calming relaxed. There were other people seated and eating. I just got a good vibe. The salad was very tasty, it was enough to feed 2 people. I'd definitely go back.

Not much seating as it’s too cold for the patio. The benches were always full and it’s because the food is great! When you order a meal you can get a complimentary mama’s beans. Do not pass on these they are some of the best beans I’ve had. Side of onion rings was fresh and lightly battered to perfection. They were very large. For the meal we split a Ruben and instead of fries substituted fried mushrooms. If you like mushrooms I definitely recommend these. The sauce for the Ruben came on the side so you can choose how much to put on. Even though they were busy they were fast, efficient and very friendly. Will definitely be going back! Do not skip on this hidden gem!

This was my first time coming here but it won't be my last. My dad has been bringing his workers up here for the past 10 years but this was my first time going. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and got the hash browns right on top of it I also opted to try the beans which she recommended and I guess that comes with every order up there. The biscuits and gravy were cooked absolutely perfect in the flavor was terrific. The hash browns were also cooked perfectly. The beans had hamburgers and like kidney beans combination into them they were sweet a little bit but the flavor was absolutely incredible. I can't say enough about this place and I cannot wait to go back to try the other things. It's just a really neat place and the service was good as well

The food was delicious and the patio is dog friendly. Pancakes are bigger than your head and Mama’s beans are so good! This place is worth a stop.
